Abstract

The Aquarium - Knoxville Shop Address: Papermill Drive Shop Website: www.aquariumconnection.com Reviewed By: Zac Mazza Overall: Excellent Times Visited: Five to Ten Times Freshwater Selection: Excellent Saltwater Selection: Excellent Stock Selection: Excellent Staff: Very Good Prices: Good Comments: Out of all the pet stores I have ever visited, this is by far the best. They deal primarily with fresh and saltwater fish, so the staff are very well trained. They have an unbelievable stock of saltwater fish, as well as corals and live rock. The fish are all very colorful and healthy, no dead fish, and no disease. They have a large variety of cichlids, especially harder to find ones like the lamprologus species. They also carry oddballs, such as the lungfish. Every fish that I have bought from their store has been extremely healthy and adjusted to my aquarium very quickly. The staff is extremely knowlegable. Although I have caught them a few times with incorrect information, they are quick to listen when you give them advice. Such as the inch per gallon rule. Other than that, they are all more than willing to help the experts as well as newcomers to the hobby. They have a wide selection of aquarium kits, as well as an enormous showroom full of supplies, ranging from countless varieties of food, prepackaged, frozen and freezedried. They will also special order fish for you, however when they get them, they require that you let them quarantine the fish so they can guarantee that you are getting a healthy fish. Although they are a bit on the pricey side, I am more than willing to pay a little more to get a MUCH healthier fish and top quality aquarium supplies and food. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking to get into the hobby or looking for high quality fish to go in their aquariums. This store gets 10/10!!! Name: Benjamin P. Volk Comments: I completely agree that this is by far the best pet shop for fish in East Tennessee. I recently bought my wife an Eclipse III hood for the 29 gallon tank for christmas. When she opened the gift and went to put it together, we discovered that the hood latch was broken off and the biowheel was crushed. I took the two items in and they replaced them on the spot without hassle. Their prices are actually not bad either. Pond Products galore as well.
